I am currently visiting DG Research at the European Central Bank. During the 2024–25 academic year, I was an IES Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton University. I am on leave from my position as Assistant Professor of Economics at LMU Munich and Economist at the ifo Institute.

My research focuses on international trade and trade policy, with an emphasis on how firms and consumers respond to policy-induced changes in trade costs. To address these questions, I rely on large-scale data and innovative methods to construct new datasets.

I am affiliated with the CESifo and CEPR.
